MacWorld 2006

The recent Macworld uncovered the very 1st (and 2nd) Macintosh computer with and Intel Chip. Steve Jobs announced in his keynote speech the iMac with Intel Core Duo Chips and the replacement for the PowerBook; the Brand New MacBook Pro. The new MacBook Pro is also supposed to have a 67% brighter LCD display than the PowerBook G4. Steve mentioned that they renamed the PowerBook to MacBook Pro is because that they were finished with the PowerPc processor so they called it the MacBook Pro. And the iBook will probably be called the MacBook when Intel comes goes on it. He says that G5 processor couldn't go into the PowerBook because of the battery consumption, he says that he consulted everyone and shows a picture of the Pope. But why did they call it the 'Power"Book if it didn't have enough power for the G5? But they won't have to worry now because of the switch to Intel Core Duo Chips. The new MacBook Pro features Front Row, PhotoBooth, iLife '06, Sudden motion sensor, illuminated keyboard, an iSight camera built right into the displa, Rosetta - support for old PowerPC applications, MagSafe power plug, wireless Front Row remote control and the Intel Core Duo Chips .Apple says the new chips are 4-5 times faster than the previous PowerBook G4 and 2-3 times faster with the iMac compared to the iMac G5. Apple also announced iLife '06 with some updates to the existing products and a new application called iWeb that creates webpages, blogs and all the internet stuff. They also annonced iWork '06 which is basically the same except for some updates. For more information go to Apple's Website More information of MacWorld and the announcements will be blogged soon
